In this role, you will: 

  • • Work on project teams with Cantactix, which leverage internal technical and category management expertise to deliver results.
  • • Partner with our clients to determine the best way to technically optimize their current or new implementations of their space management processes.
  • • Provide Technical expertise in Design, Development, Unit Testing, and Implementation.
  • • Utilize the JDA Category Management suite of products (Space Planning, Floor Planning, Planogram Generator, Category Knowledge Base, and Assortment Optimization).
  • • Interface with customers and user share groups to gather application requirements, present technical aspects of the app, and understand problems with the app.
  • • Work effectively in collaboration with other employees inside and outside the department with whom tasks must be completed.
  • • Under low to moderate direction, prepare specifications, designs, test descriptions, and work breakdowns and estimates.
  • • Facilitate technical requirement workshops geared toward understanding the client’s needs and provide a tangible blueprint for success.
  • • Apply existing & emerging technologies to deliver innovative solutions.
  • • Work virtually from anywhere in North America.

 Desired skills and experience:

  • • An undergraduate degree, diploma or better in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or equivalent discipline or equivalent level of industry-related experience
  • • SQL Server Development
  • • Experience in software development using .NET technologies (C#, ASP .NET)
  • • LINQ
  • • PowerShell
  • • Unit and functional testing as an ingrained part of your workflow
  • • A demonstrated ability and interest in picking up new technologies
  • • A love of learning and working in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Things that aren’t required but would raise you above the rest:

  • • Experience in Category management or Retail systems
  • • Web application development experience (WPF)
  • • Work with WEB/REST/SASS Services
  • • SQL Server and Oracle experience
  • • A demonstrated ability and interest in picking up new technologies

You have a Business or IT degree and 3-5 years of technical experience with proven ability in delivery services or equivalent experience. Knowledge of applications architecture, solution design, and integration principles with a detailed understanding of applicable planogram methodology is a must. You must have the desire and ability to understand new technology environments, concepts, and architectures quickly. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing projects. You can interact with and influence managers at all seniority levels. You are committed to customer service and continuous learning.
