  1. Understock: A calculation that determines if a product does not have enough stock on the shelf to meet consumer demand. 
  1. Upgrade: Each year Blue Yonder releases a new version of the Category Management Suite. Upgrading adds enhancements and automations to improve your system. Learn more here
  1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): The testing phase where end-users evaluate and validate the functionality of a software application.  
  1. Variation: Refers to the different versions of planograms that can be drawn simultaneously for the same reset/relay, which may vary based on width, fixture differences, or localized assortment needs. 
  1. Version: Describes the state of a planogram or floorplan within its lifecycle (e.g., “Live,” “Pending,” “Historic”). It can also refer to the process of creating a new iteration of a planogram. 
  1. Vertical Facings: The number of facings of a product stacked on top of one another. 
  1. Walmart Luminate: Walmart Luminate is the latest reporting system for Walmart suppliers that provides robust sales data as well as customer shopping insights. Learn more here.   
  1. Web Publisher (WP): A person or tool responsible for publishing content on the internet. 
  1. Weight of Purchase: A statistical measure of how much of a product is purchased by shoppers over a given period of time. 
  1. Width: The physical space measured across the front of a product or tray. 
  1. Work in Progress (WIP): Items or tasks that are currently being worked on and are not yet completed. 
  1. Workflow Automations: Tools like MissionControl help retailers and suppliers automate Space and Floor Planning tasks. It allows you to import data, adjust facings, add items to floating shelves, stitch planograms, allocate fixtures and so much more.  
  1. XYZ Co-ordinates: The three-dimensional location of a product within a planogram. 
  1. Year-over-Year/Month-over-Month (YOY/MOM): Terms for comparing data over different time periods, providing insights into seasonality, trends, and performance variations. Useful for category management decisions.
